Kempisch Ongemak

Scumbag Cymbal crashing, bass-heavy, rolling electric guitar instrumental sludge! But it's a little more complex than most sludge-based stoner metal in that it moves at more than one pace, changing up the tempo from time to time and slipping through some more introspective moments as well. Incredibly enjoyable listen, check it out! Favorite track: Peer Cloud.

Tilburg, Brabant, Netherlands

2013 marks the debut of Tilburg stoner-outfit Wangunst. From the deep south of the Netherlands, this powertrio kicks you in the face with balls-to-the-wall riffage somewhere between stoner and sludge.

Debut-EP 'Kempisch Ongemak' (Kempisch Discomfort) contains three originals in the vein of EYEHATEGOD, MYSTIC KREWE OF CLEARLIGHT, DOWN, KYUSS, WOFAT, SNAIL and many others.

Their rendition of the Dirty Dozen Brassband's classic Blackbird Special hommages both the rhythm 'n blues and stoner tradition of New Orleans.
